You may be thinking, but what about TSR? They also have a waiting period before downloads! (See Here) Penalizing people for protecting their computers and private information is wrong. Some people, like me, have had terrible experiences when they’ve turned their ad-blocker off for ‘trusted’ sites.

What I am not okay with is having to sit through a 60 second penalty just to gain access to a download link. Just like every other site has side bar or header/footer ads. The links lead straight to my original post, which is fine, every other site does this and I’m okay with that. I thought I would reply to this as I’ve seen my uploads on the site. They’re literally ready to burn simsdom at the stake. No more asks about it, okay? People just really like to make things into something bigger than it is when they don’t have all the facts. That’s my statement about that whole drama. Simsdom is just another site that stores cc (but also lets you host yours if you’re a creator).Īlso if ads seriously pop up for you if you go on simsdom (or any site at that) your computer is just virused and you should run a malware scan. The sites that make you disable it are adfly/shorte that people sometimes use on their downloads so it might pop up after you click the download button but only if the creator put it there.

I’ve been using adblock for years and never did I have to disable it to reach simsdom. Also, I saw some comments under that post that the site tells you to disable adblock in order to view it. As far as I’m aware the only ads are on the simsdom main site (no pop-ups or any shit like that) and there’s nothing wrong with that. The suggested items lead straight to the creator’s site/blog etc where they put their download. I have adblock but I turned it off just to test if it really makes you go through an ad when you click on a download button on a suggested cc. I’m renumerated.Īnd I saw the whole post people were so raged about and tbh I really don’t see what’s the problem here.
